The Shift Chiropractic isn’t in Berkeley. We’re in downtown Oakland at 435 8th Street #203, on the corner of 8th and Broadway, about 16–19 minutes from Downtown Berkeley BART on the BART Orange or Red line, then a 4-minute walk from 12th Street BART. Two doctors share the week. Same-day appointments are often available — a doctor is in the office six days a week.
Google Maps door-to-door times, checked on a Sunday afternoon (Nov 1, 2026); weekday rush hour can be slower by car.

Parking. There’s a paid lot right outside — $3, cash only, as of October 2026 — and it usually has space. We don’t validate parking. Street parking is also usually available. Step-free entrance and an elevator to #203.
Two doctors share the week. Dr. Ben Glass sees patients Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, in English and Spanish. Dr. Irina Velichko sees patients Monday, Wednesday and Friday, in English and Russian; her focus is shifting to the extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle and foot). Both doctors see prenatal and pediatric visits. Not sure which day suits you? Which doctor should I see? Or see everything we help with. If you run, read our guide to running and chiropractic care in Oakland.
As of October 2026, a first visit is $135. It includes the exam, your first adjustment and a follow-up report-of-findings visit; an adjustment at that follow-up visit is billed separately. Visits after that are $60–$80, depending on whether you’re on a care plan or paying per visit. Confirm current prices when you book. The full cost guide.
