In an effort to continue my education after school, I have traveled to foreign lands to gain experience sharing chiropractic with different cultures and people of diverse backgrounds. This has deepened my understanding of the inner workings of the human body, brought me to higher levels of health, and elevated my performance of practicing the art of chiropractic adjusting.
Recently, the thirst for travel translated into an opportunity to help organize and participate in a service oriented adventure into the heart of Mexico with fellow chiropractors. We arrived as a team to Mexico City and spent the first day just chilling, which helped us connect and build trust before truly embarking on our adventure together. The intention for the trip was multi-faceted, infused with passion, purpose and a strong desire for rejuvenation, since we all lead dynamic, fun-filled, yet very full lives.
The first night we were hosted by friends who operate a clinic that cares for the community at large. Upon waking up, we were all given a sweet welcome by John Martinez, who dedicated himself to putting the trip together and bringing together a solid, cohesive group. He provided us all with world class adjustments and set the tone for all of us with his passion for the beautifying power of chiropractic. We then piled into our bus and headed out for our first day of service, ready to deliver at a higher level than many of us had ever experienced before.
Our Why
In 2014, our international chiropractic organization moved to the forefront of a global chiropractic movement for sustainable healthcare by strategically serving in impoverished, underserved communities around the world. We arrived at clinics, festivals and community centers, adjusting kid
s, families and communities around the region. People were amazing and the energy we felt was both inspiring and empowering. It made us feel a part of the world to be warmly received in the community, while continually helping to benefit the health of humanity in the community.
Collectively, we provided a balanced, yet pure chiropractic curriculum for many students at two different schools from Mexico. We were in Malinalco, Mexico where we planted seeds in the minds and hearts of chiropractic students and their chiropractic mentors. We traveled all the way from the United States and Europe to do just one thing: share the gift of chiropractic with the community. Serving others through chiropractic is mood elevating, high energizing and most nutritious. It is one of the best feelings in the world. After a long day of adjusting and giving your all, you feel like you can do anything and can reach for something greater, beyond yourself.
